September 24th was the date of the 8th annual Canadian Brewing Awards (CBA’s) and it was a great day for local Penticton micro-brewery Cannery Brewing. Cannery Brewing received not one but two awards at this Canadian Brewing Competition.
As the seasons change from fall into winter, and we nestle in by a warm fireplace, our taste buds begin to crave new flavour sensations. This change of seasons is the perfect time to try a bottle of Maple Stout, which is the newest hand-crafted beer from Cannery Brewing.
Cannery Brewing recently gave away $500 in grand prizes as they wrapped up the celebration of their 500th brew, the grand opening of their new retail store, and their recently expanded brewing area. Congratulations to Linda and Terry Deering, winners of a beer fridge filled with their favourite Cannery Brewing beers. Other winners were Kevin Woolliams, W.W. Solberg, and Rod Schnell. Congratulations to all the winners!
As the owners of Cannery Brewing, Ron and Patt Dyck, and Terry Schoffer have made it a commitment to evolve and innovate to keep up with the needs of their customers and the industry. To meet these needs, they have recently undergone a major expansion at the brewery, which is located in the Cannery Trade Centre, at Duncan and Fairview, in Penticton, BC. They have taken over some additional space in the Cannery, which has allowed for an expansion both in the brewing area and in the retail store.
